Vera is a Springfield, MO and Missouri Ozarks (Southwest Missouri) attorney who focuses on helping individuals and families access the legal system through her extensive experience, knowledge, and dedication in Family Law, Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate, Real Estate Law, Injury Law, and Business Law cases. Vera is a passionate family law and estate planning attorney who combines legal expertise with empathy, working to help families navigate life’s most important and often emotional decisions while protecting their rights and long-term well-being.
Vera also holds a strong passion for injury law, which comes from a deep belief in restoring dignity, securing justice, and helping people through their most vulnerable moments. According to the NHTSA, millions of people are injured and tens of thousands of people die in motor vehicle crashes every year. Knowing the devestation these crashes cause individuals and their families, Vera is driven by the opportunity to stand up for clients who have been wronged—whether by negligence or systemic failures—and to fight for fair compensation and care.
Vera attended undergraduate school at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. She then attended Saint Louis University School of Law. She was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2015.
She has worked with several law firms in Missouri. She also worked with Legal Services of Southern Missouri (aka Legal Aid) for several years, during which she gained invaluable knowledge and experience representing impoverished and underrepresented community members in the courts in Southern Missouri.
Vera is also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association (Vera Moritz - Springfield Metropolitan Bar).
